Matt’s practice covers a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including representing developers, lenders, and investors in acquisitions and dispositions, financing, construction, development, property management, corporate governance, and leasing matters. Matt has significant experience with multi-family, hotel, mixed use, self-storage, and lending transactions, with a particular expertise in portfolios. As a former trial attorney who tried numerous cases to verdict and through appeal, Matt offers clients a unique perspective in evaluating and navigating risk in their transactions.
While in law school, Matt had the privilege of serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Tech Law Review.
Before joining Standly Law, Matt gained valuable experience as a real estate associate with an international law firm and a large regional firm. Matt and his wife Camie enjoy traveling, cooking, being involved with their church and small group, and spending time with their black lab, Calvin Coolidge. Matt is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Dallas Theological Seminary and is passionate about his faith and involvement in numerous ministries in the Dallas area.
